The Association of Orthopaedic Practitioners UK

Conference 2016

Conference was held at the Leicester Marriott Hotel for a second successful time. Conference opened on Friday evening with a lecture from Simon Dickinson and a motivational talk from Matt Hampson. Learning, working and networking continued right through until Sunday lunch-time.

We were pleased to present Beth Tite with a cheque for £1,500 for MOTEC-UK.

Beth, along with Sue Osborn volunteer for this charity and have visited Africa where MOTEC-UK are making a huge difference to people's lives through medical care.

Our motivational speaker, Matt Hampson, on Friday night inspired us all with his 'Get Busy Living' campaign.

A donation was made to the Matt Hampson foundation to help Matt continue his work supporting and motivating those seriously injured during sporting activities.

Congratulations to Veronica Meek who won the 'Lois Barr' Memorial Award for excellent achievement in the National BCC Exams for 2014/15.

Congratulations to Sue Miles on receiving the David Rowley Award for 2016. This award is presented each year to a practitioner who has shown commitment to the profession and raised the profile of Orthopaedic Practitioners. Sue has worked tirelessly over many years, enabling practitioners to benefit from the high standard of education and professional recognition now available.
